This weekend I stumbled on this newspaper article from the Belle Plaine Herald back in 2018, when I did a community presentation about foraging with acorns in a nearby town. I brought acorn spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for the attendees, and we also made racahout, a delicious historic hot acorn drink.
