2.\u00a0 Go rock climbing — the old fashioned way.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Wash the car together.\u00a0 It sounds like work to us, but it’s great fun for children!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Bury tiny treasures for the kids to find in the sandbox.\u00a0 Good choices include dragon tears (those flattened colored glass marbles florists use) and rocks that have been painted gold.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Buy a pack of old fashioned clothespins and make clothespin dolls.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 Make a customized crossword puzzle<\/a> for your child.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 Alter a set of the kids’ sheets.\u00a0 Take a light colored, older sheet set and give the kids permanent markers to doodle, draw and otherwise personalize.\u00a0 This is the perfect way to give new life to stained or worn sheets!<\/span>

8.\u00a0 Leave tasty treats for the squirrels and then hide somewhere and watch to see if they come snatch them.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

9.\u00a0 Paint chalkboard paint on something unexpected so the kids can draw on it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

10. Have afternoon tea.\u00a0 Brew up a pot of something tasty, get out some wonderful china cups and cookies, and sit and be fancy together.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
