Decide on some summer goals. <\/strong> Summer vacation is right around the corner.\u00a0 Think up family or individual goals you&#8217;d like to accomplish this summer.\u00a0 Family goals could include spotting all 50 license plates or 100 different species of birds (keep a notebook with an ongoing list in the car) or visiting 25 new places.\u00a0 Individual goals could be serious (passing the next level of swimming class) or silly (spend a whole day walking backwards).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#ff9900;\">2.\u00a0 Have dinner outside on a blanket.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff0000;\"><strong>3.\u00a0 Learn how to do something together via You-Tube. <\/strong> Whether it&#8217;s painting exotic designs on fingernails, doing Aztec dancing or doing magic tricks, you can find out how to do virtually anything online these days.\u00a0 <em>(Be careful, as comments and content is sometimes not suitable for little ones.\u00a0 You may want to search for the desired subject in private and then invite the kids once you&#8217;ve found suitable videos.)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\"><strong>4.\u00a0 Hunt for worms.<\/strong> Hey, for a two year old, that IS magical!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4032\/4573053727_8cee9a306a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><strong>5.\u00a0 Bake a treat together for an elderly loved one and bring it over. <\/strong> Be sure to stay a while and visit.\u00a0 Chances are, you&#8217;ll make someone else&#8217;s day magical too!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#ff00ff;\">6.\u00a0 Leave cheerful, encouraging and silly post-it notes in public places.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#008000;\"><strong>7.\u00a0 Print out some coloring pages and color together. <\/strong>Yes, you too.\u00a0 Yes, even if your child is fifteen.\u00a0 Coloring can be surprisingly fun!\u00a0 Use colored pencils or oil pastels for extra special results.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colorpagesformom.com\/\">Here<\/a> are some neat ones if you can get past the ads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>8.\u00a0 Pick up a cheap boomerang and learn to throw it. <\/strong>It&#8217;s harder than it looks! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3417\/4573784630_d2ecd1577c_o.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"325\" height=\"474\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\"><strong>9.\u00a0 Hold the kids upside down and let them walk on the ceiling! <\/strong> This is even better if they have slightly dirty shoes.\u00a0 Boy will the footprints on the ceiling confuse visitors.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09\u00a0 <em>(Note:\u00a0 Impossibly short people like me have to pass this one on to taller members of the family!)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><strong>10.
