Happy Monday! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s a few ways to make some simple fun with your kidlings this week….<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Sign up for the Super Secret Stashbusting Challenge<\/a>.\u00a0 Even better, put a bunch of your old art supplies and doo-dads in a box and issue a similar craft challenge for your kiddos yourself.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Have a technology free day.\u00a0 Turn off the computer and TV, don’t answer the phone and spend all day playing, reading, catching up on tasks around the house and generally spending time together.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Do some resist paintings on newspaper<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Buy or make a blank book and start a family cookbook.\u00a0 Make up a new recipe for it each week together.\u00a0 Some good simple dishes include smoothies, soups and jazzed up grilled sandwiches.\u00a0 Encourage the kids to think up really fabulous names for each recipe.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Blow bubbles!\u00a0 All sorts.\u00a0 With all sorts of wands.\u00a0 Spring just calls for bubble blowing, I think.\u00a0 If you really want to make the day special, take the kids to a park near a busy road and have them blow bubbles at rush hour.\u00a0 We’ve done this and it was so neat seeing all those cranky commuters suddenly bursting into grins as bubbles blew by.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42

6.\u00a0 If you have a photography buff, head out together with a camera for each of you and look for beautiful things to photograph.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 Do shadow puppets<\/a> on the wall.

8.\u00a0 Whether you took part in Earth Hour or\u00a0 not, try it again with the kids another night.\u00a0 Our kids had so much fun singing songs by candlelight (we checked out a giant family songbook from the library just for the occasion), playing hide-and-seek in the dark and watching the candles that they’ve asked to do it more often. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
