I have to make this quick, as we’re leaving early tomorrow morning for a couple of days out of town and I still have to finish packing. <\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We’re off to a nearby city for a sledding party tomorrow (complete with plans to build a giant snow alligator with green spray water!) and then on Tuesday the girls and I are attending a children’s writing conference while the boys hang out with Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa.\u00a0 It should be a fun couple of days.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

So in the spirit of being quick, today’s list of ways to make the day magical are all quick too!<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Note:\u00a0 Just because these are quick and easy for us grown ups does not mean they don’t still add magic to a child’s day!<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Blow bubbles.\u00a0 Billions.\u00a0 Set up a fan to help, if you can.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Give hugs and kisses all day long.\u00a0 With every one, say another reason you adore your child.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Bring your child flowers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Play hide and seek.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Plant seeds in eggshell halves.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Have a tea party.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Play with matchbox cars together.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Go rock hunting. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Make paper dolls from cardstock and old magazines.\u00a0 Alternately, make paper monsters or paper robots (put on a car head, interchangeable torsos and so on).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Go puddle stomping!<\/span>
