{"id":409,"date":"2010-02-06T07:55:21","date_gmt":"2010-02-06T07:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.wordpress.com\/?p=409"},"modified":"2010-02-06T07:55:21","modified_gmt":"2010-02-06T07:55:21","slug":"refrigerator-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.com\/blog\/2010\/02\/06\/refrigerator-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Refrigerator Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>Strange things make me happy, like my refrigerator. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>No, not the fridge itself &#8212; the doors don&#8217;t stay shut and the door shelves fall off if they&#8217;re not arranged just right and I have been known to cuss and stomp my feet at it &#8212; but the stuff on it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>Like this.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4011\/4334035324_0cc080d399.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>Jack made it for me for Mother&#8217;s Day when he was four (with help).\u00a0 It makes me smile to see it every day.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>And this one that Victoria made at the same age.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4028\/4334035476_cbdf734ded.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>I was sick, pregnant and devoid of makeup with the world&#8217;s worst haircuts for each of us, but it makes me smile every day when I see it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>Then there&#8217;s this dragon that Victoria drew and a series of pictures from when we all tried to cram into in a photo booth last year.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4055\/4334035392_3f1e9726ae.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>There are magnets that remind me of happy trips, homemade decorations and an endless supply of art by the kids.\u00a0 And it all makes me happy.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>Alex loves to take everything off the fridge that he can reach, so all my special happy things are out of his two year-old reach.\u00a0 But down below, there are magnet gears and magnet animals and all sorts of wonderful magnets to make him happy, too.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>Maybe it&#8217;s silly to stage your refrigerator to make you happy, but I love it.\u00a0 I smile every time I open the door&#8230; when the shelf doesn&#8217;t fall off.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4050\/4333292735_70000ebe5a.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Strange things make me happy, like my refrigerator.
