{"id":334,"date":"2010-01-10T23:35:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-10T23:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.wordpress.com\/2010\/01\/10\/10-ways-to-make-today-magical-winter-style-for-warmer-climates\/"},"modified":"2010-01-10T23:35:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-10T23:35:00","slug":"10-ways-to-make-today-magical-winter-style-for-warmer-climates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.com\/blog\/2010\/01\/10\/10-ways-to-make-today-magical-winter-style-for-warmer-climates\/","title":{"rendered":"10 Ways to Make Today Magical (Winter Style for Warmer Climates!)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-size:medium;\">I&#8217;ve been posting so much winter fun that I&#8217;ve heard from a few people in warmer climates who are wishing they could get in on the spirit.&nbsp; I asked around for great ideas to have winter fun without cold and snow and got some great answers.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>In honor of you lucky folks in sunny places, here&#8217;s 10 ways to make a little winter magic in any temperature.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><strong><br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_p7EmQbWqz6o\/SmEYnYBeWrI\/AAAAAAAADz4\/junLry1wLyE\/s400\/IMG_0596.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/><\/strong><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:rgb(255,102,0);\">Magical Mama Claire suggests cutting up a billion paper snowflakes to decorate the house.<\/span><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:rgb(0,0,255);\">Find an ice skating rink and go ice skating together.&nbsp; Magical Mama Natalie says, <\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(0,0,255);\">&quot;Sometimes<br \/> we&#8217;ll go to the local ice skating area and fill some containers with &quot;snow&quot; the Zamboni has removed from the ice surface. &nbsp;Makes quick snowballs or use sandbox toys to make shapes.&quot;<\/span><br \/> <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:rgb(0,0,255);\"><span style=\"color:rgb(0,153,0);\">Make your own snow in a sno-cone maker or with a blender set to crushed ice.&nbsp; Top with homemade syrup (just dilute condensed juice half and half with water for an all natural recipe or google for the koolaid version).&nbsp; Or leave plain and eat as snowballs!<\/span><\/span><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:rgb(0,0,255);\"><span style=\"color:rgb(0,153,0);\"><span style=\"color:rgb(255,0,255);\">Make a big batch of mashed potatoes and make mashed potato snowmen and snow forts at dinner (use ice cream trays for forming the bricks!).<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"color:rgb(0,0,255);\"><span style=\"color:rgb(0,153,0);\"><span style=\"color:rgb(255,0,255);\"><span style=\"color:rgb(255,153,0);\">Magical Mama Mary says, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:rgb(255,153,0);\">&quot;I give the kids a cup or bowl of marshmallows and turn them lose to have a &quot;snowball fight&quot;. &nbsp;We&#8217;ve even done this at the local park in the summer.&nbsp; The kids love it!
