{"id":327,"date":"2009-12-29T23:57:00","date_gmt":"2009-12-29T23:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/29\/hot-vanilla-milk\/"},"modified":"2009-12-29T23:57:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-29T23:57:00","slug":"hot-vanilla-milk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.com\/blog\/2009\/12\/29\/hot-vanilla-milk\/","title":{"rendered":"Hot Vanilla Milk!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-size:medium;\"><span style=\"color:rgb(255,102,0);\">Here&#8217;s a super easy and tasty treat you can make next time the kiddos come in from the cold.&nbsp; Hot vanilla milk is quite a bit like hot chocolate, except (obviously!) it&#8217;s made with vanilla and it&#8217;s also way easier!<\/p>\n<p>To make: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <img decoding=\"async\" align=\"absmiddle\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2717\/4218639171_96623c1a9a_m.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Heat a cup of milk in the microwave or on the stove until very hot.&nbsp; In my microwave, that&#8217;s about 1 minute.&nbsp; Stir in a dash of vanilla (I just pour about a cap full, it doesn&#8217;t take much) and sugar to taste (try about a teaspoon and tinker to your child&#8217;s taste, you could obviously use honey too).&nbsp; Stir and serve!&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size:medium;\"><span style=\"color:rgb(255,102,0);\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>I have an aunt who only sends me pink things (don&#8217;t ask, and no, I don&#8217;t particularly care for pink!) and she sent me some junky pink marshmallows recently so we topped our hot vanilla milk with some of those last time.&nbsp; You can also go all out and dollop whipped cream on top.<\/p>\n<p>For a different taste, you and the kiddos can experiment with other extracts (butterscotch, peppermint, etc.).&nbsp; Enjoy!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a super easy and tasty treat you can make next time the kiddos come in from the cold.&nbsp; Hot vanilla milk is quite a bit like hot chocolate, except (obviously!) it&#8217;s made with vanilla and it&#8217;s also way easier!
