Balloon Plants!<\/big><\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b>
We can't wait to try this fun experiment from Craftbits<\/a>.  I've been meaning to do it with the kids for years and always get sidetracked.  I'll post pictures if we finally get it done.  <\/p>\n
Materials:<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b> 
  1 balloon<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b>  
  1\/2 cup of dirt<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b> 
  1\/4 cup of water<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b>  
  radish or pea Seeds<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b> 
  funnel<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b>  <\/font><\/p>\n
Instructions:<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b> <\/p>\n
 Take the balloon and hold it by the neck.  Use a funnel to slowly push the dirt into the balloon, then add the water and the seeds.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b>  <\/font><\/p>\n
Nip the neck of the balloon and clean off the opening so that you can blow it up.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b> <\/font><\/p>\n
Very carefully blow up the balloon till it is full size then tie off the neck and secure.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b>  <\/font><\/p>\n
Hang your balloon plant in a window sill and it will start growing.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b> <\/font><\/p>\n
Make sure you DO NOT use potting mix as this is toxic to inhale.<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/b>  <\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
