well!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#333399;\"><em><strong>Here are a few ways to make a little magic with the kiddos this week&#8230;..<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#ff0000;\"><strong>1.\u00a0 Go splash in the rain together &#8212; or in the puddles after the rain is over.\u00a0 <\/strong>My 14 year-old Anna took 2 year-old Fiona outside to dance in the rain yesterday and before long she was joined by her big sister Victoria and then Dad and then 11 year-old Jack.\u00a0 They had a blast before they finally came back in, soaking wet but grinning ear to ear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/magicalchildhood.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/09\/rain.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2412\" src=\"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/09\/rain.png?w=500\" alt=\"Dancing in the rain\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" style=\"color:#008000;\"><strong>2.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Have a cleaning party with the kids.\u00a0<\/strong> Dress up in fabulous play dress-up clothes (party hats and\/or tiaras are a must!), blast some happy music, grab some fun treats and clean like crazy together.\u00a0 Set a timer for every 15 minutes to take a break and enjoy some treats together, and concentrate on being as wild and wacky as possible as you clean.\u00a0 <em>Who says cleaning has to be dull?!<\/em><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\"><strong>3.\u00a0 Take part in the Spore Project!\u00a0<\/strong> This fun art project involves simply making mushrooms from paper lunch bags to decorate a bit of land someplace.\u00a0 The creators explain:<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"mhl\">\n<blockquote>\n<div id=\"id_5404ad8ade1ea1d55053898\" class=\"text_exposed_root text_exposed\"><span style=\"color:#993300;\">The SPORE Project is an awareness program to support creativity and art education by constructing and planting mushrooms made from paper lunch bags. <\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\"> Ten of thousands of paper bag mushrooms have been constructed and planted by hundreds of individuals, students and organi<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">zations around the world.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\">As of may 2011, paper bag mushrooms have been planted in every continent of the world.. including Antarctica!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_root style=\"color:#ff6600;\"><strong>\u00a06.\u00a0 Make up some batches of play dough with natural dyes.\u00a0<\/strong> It\u2019s great fun to experiment to make your own colors.\u00a0 <a write the lists for kids who aren\u2019t writing yet, but keep it in their words and have them add some decorations.\u00a0 Then mail them out or take a picture to email to each loved one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#993300;\"><strong>8.\u00a0 Head out with a permanent marker and alter some leaves.<\/strong>\u00a0 Leave them discreetly in nature where observant passers-by
