{"id":2366,"date":"2014-04-01T14:52:43","date_gmt":"2014-04-01T14:52:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.wordpress.com\/?p=2366"},"modified":"2014-04-01T14:52:43","modified_gmt":"2014-04-01T14:52:43","slug":"plastic-bag-flowers-revisited","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.com\/blog\/2014\/04\/01\/plastic-bag-flowers-revisited\/","title":{"rendered":"Plastic Bag Flowers, Revisited"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/04\/77198-6a010535781c42970c01347fb75a4d970c-800wi.jpg?w=500&amp;h=333\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few days ago, I got a comment on a new post asking how I made some plastic bag flowers back in 2010.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t even remember making plastic bag flowers, but a quick blog search showed <a href=\"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.wordpress.com\/2010\/04\/23\/plastic-bag-flowers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this post<\/a> where I linked to a fabulous blog with instructions.<\/p>\n<p>It turns out that the original blog is down, but thanks to the amazing Wayback Machine, you can still read the post and get the directions <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20140209162314\/http:\/\/www.growingupcreative.com\/2010\/04\/6.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 I also found the original author&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/growingupcreative.typepad.com\/tali_buchler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">current blog<\/a>, which has some neat community art projects to check out.\u00a0 For instance, <a href=\"http:\/\/growingupcreative.typepad.com\/tali_buchler\/the-tent-a-community-art-installation-2012artists-noa-meir-and-tali-buchlermaterials-lycra-fabric-scraps-watering-pipes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this<\/a> is an art installation called &#8220;the tent&#8221; that community members created out of scrap fabric from a nearby factory.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/04\/5a997-6a010535781c42970c017617490a9b970c-800wi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"http:\/\/growingupcreative.typepad.com\/tali_buchler\/beads-community-art-installation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this<\/a> amazing community art installation is created out of recycled plastic bags, just like those flowers.\u00a0 Isn&#8217;t it amazing?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/04\/25691-6a010535781c42970c019b005c889e970d-800wi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/04\/dac78-6a010535781c42970c019b005c9134970d-800wi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"747\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now I&#8217;m wishing we had plastic bags in colors other than boring white, and looking at all of our recycling with new eyes again.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Fun stuff!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A few days ago, I got a comment on a new post asking how I made some plastic bag flowers back in 2010.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t even remember making plastic bag flowers, but a quick blog search showed this post where I linked to a fabulous blog with instructions.
