getting cool, floating boats, making little island getaways, you name it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Have a photo shoot outside.\u00a0 Be sure to let the kids take your picture too!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Shoot some hoops &#8212; even if that means tossing balled up socks into a bowl on the coffee table because it&#8217;s 115 degrees outside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Go on a sprinkler walk.\u00a0 Head to an area of town where people have their sprinklers going and sidewalks that go through them, and try to walk through as many sprinklers to cool down as possible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Make some real fruit slushies.\u00a0 Toss frozen fruit like strawberries in the blender with some water and sugar to taste.\u00a0 Blend like crazy and enjoy.\u00a0 Make it extra fun by playing chef with a big variety of frozen fruit choices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Freeze lots of ice cube trays and muffin tins full of colored water and then put all your multi-colored ice treasures in a big bowl.\u00a0 Head out to the kiddie pool and grab some buckets of water to melt and color mix like crazy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Take blocks of ice to the top of a grassy hill and go<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ice_blocking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> ice blocking<\/a>.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iceblockers.com\/safety.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Here&#8217;s<\/a> more info on this activity that&#8217;s on our bucket list this year!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Make mud pies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Play balloon volleyball.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\">Go camping.\u00a0 Can&#8217;t do that?\u00a0 Camp in the back yard.\u00a0 Can&#8217;t do that?\u00a0 Camp in the living room.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color:#008000;\">And yes, I know it&#8217;s winter for some of you!\u00a0 I think a lot of these are still options.\u00a0 If not, please do something fabulous and then come back and tell us about it.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is summer slipping away as fast for you as it is for us?\u00a0 Here&#8217;s a few easy ways to take advantage of the end of July with your kiddos this week&#8230;
