Sorry I’ve been a little MIA lately.\u00a0 Something about the 5th child has me a little stretched thin these days!\u00a0 I’m getting back into my groove though and am loving all the things that are keeping me busy.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here’s some ways to find a little magic this week…<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 String cranberries, popcorn and other edible goodies on trees outside for the birds and squirrels.<\/strong>\u00a0 Be sure to put them near a window where you all can watch them being enjoyed!<\/span><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Got any mismatched mittens?\u00a0 Make some little snowfolks<\/span><\/a>!\u00a0<\/strong> You can use odds and ends if you don’t have all of the supplies (a little rubber ball could become the head, for instance).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Make billions of paper snowflakes and decorate the house with them!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Get out the sleeping bags and sleep under the Christmas tree with the kids.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Have an inside snowball fight!<\/strong>\u00a0 Crumple up oodles of paper from the recycling bin and give each player a laundry basket full.\u00a0 Find some good launching spots (behind the couch, behind a table…) and commence flinging!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 Make an Angry Bird style challenge.\u00a0<\/strong> Stack up anything light (paper cups, egg cartons, cardboard blocks…) in all different shapes and then make a simple catapult to launch soft objects at it.\u00a0 We used egg cartons that we had stockpiled for a friend with chickens, along with a big serving spoon propped over a small can for a launcher.\u00a0 The kids put soft balls in the spoon, pounded on the other end, and watched the ball fly at the target!\u00a0 They made all sorts of elaborate towers to crash down and had such fun! <\/span><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 Turn a big box into a playhouse.<\/strong>\u00a0 Check out this one from Life as a Thrifter<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 She even mounted a dollar store mirror inside!<\/span><\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 Deliver cookies or homemade candies to your local fire fighters, police station or other community helpers.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

9.\u00a0 Compliment each other, balloon style!\u00a0<\/strong> Pick someone in the room to focus on and toss a balloon up in the air.\u00a0 Everybody else has to keep bopping the balloon up and keep it from hitting the ground.\u00a0 You can’t bop it without calling out something fabulous about your subject though!\u00a0 Think quick! See how long you can keep it up (and how many wonderful things people can think up about each other!).<\/span><\/p>\n

10.\u00a0 Have some Mr. Blue fun, like Color Me Katie<\/a>.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
