\n but the mother’s face grew angry<\/span>
\n as the child clung to her leg.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n as she pushed his hands away,<\/span>
\n I wish I’d had the courage<\/span>
\n to go up to her and say…<\/span><\/p>\n
\n when those little arms that tug,<\/span>
\n Won’t ask for you to hold them<\/span>
\n or won’t freely give a hug.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n just as it did with me,<\/span>
\n When you can’t recall the last time<\/span>
\n that your child sat on your knee.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n when we cherished time alone<\/span>
\n Our babies grow and leave behind<\/span>
\n those special times we’ve known.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n with a book that you can share,<\/span>
\n Or asks that you would tuck him in<\/span>
\n and help him say his prayer…<\/span><\/p>\n
\n or would like to take a walk,<\/span>
\n Before you answer that you can’t<\/span>
\n `cause there’s no time to talk”<\/span>
\n Remember what all parents learn<\/span>
\n so many times too late,<\/span>
\n That years go by too quickly<\/span>
\n and that childhood doesn’t wait.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n if one should slip away<\/span>
\n Reach hard to get it back again,<\/span>
\n don’t wait another day.”<\/span>
\n I watched that mother walk away<\/span>
\n her children followed near,<\/span>
\n I hope she’ll pick them up<\/span>
\n<\/big> before her chances disappear.<\/big><\/span><\/p>\n
