Happy Monday!\u00a0 And a Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day too.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I’m a little behind on things so let’s get to some ways to make some memories this week, shall we?<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

1. Eat lunch under the table.\u00a0 If you like, invite the kids to tape up some artwork on the “roof”!
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Go tour a college together.\u00a0 Roam through the classroom buildings, library, student union and such and talk about what your child would like to do someday.\u00a0 There is something impressive and otherworldly about universities, especially to kids.\u00a0 Be sure to wander the art building and get inspired by the art on display for home projects too!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Home for the day?\u00a0 Give each other glamorous or over-the-top makeup jobs.\u00a0 The boys can too, if they like.\u00a0 Think Captain Jack!
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Get inspired by Katherine Marie Photography<\/a> and do one of a zillion snow projects.\u00a0 No snow required for lots of them!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Start a new weekly dinner tradition.\u00a0 For instance, every time you sit down to dinner together this week, start the meal with something you’re proud of and something lucky that happened today, or everybody wear hats or costume jewelry.\u00a0 Involve the kids in dreaming up each week’s tradition.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 Enough with winter!\u00a0 Use pages from ruined books to make a beautiful spring-like butterfly wreath like this one from Alisa Burke<\/a>.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 Paint polka dot designs on your children’s toenails.
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 Try your hands at making some darling painted penguins like these from Craftberry Bush<\/a>.\u00a0 Can you guess what they’re made of?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

9.\u00a0 Make mix-and-match pancakes for dinner.\u00a0 Make up a big batch of batter and set out bowls of add-ins like blueberries, coconut, chopped banana and chocolate chips.\u00a0 Let the kids add their ingredients and then cook them up!\u00a0 Make them small, just in case some combinations leave a little to be desired.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

10.\u00a0 Set the camera on timer\u00a0 and take a bunch of pictures of yourselves, photo-booth style.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And with that, I’m off to fill some bellies, read some books and tackle eighty-five loads of laundry.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
