{"id":1236,"date":"2010-11-20T06:13:26","date_gmt":"2010-11-20T06:13:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.wordpress.com\/?p=1236"},"modified":"2010-11-20T06:13:26","modified_gmt":"2010-11-20T06:13:26","slug":"an-impromptu-ball","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/magicalchildhood.com\/blog\/2010\/11\/20\/an-impromptu-ball\/","title":{"rendered":"An Impromptu Ball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>The other night, Annalee announced that she would be holding a ball the next day. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>We had the whole day to prepare. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>In the morning, there was a tea party with tiny sandwiches and fancy water.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>Later, there were invitations and party plans.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>When the time came for the ball, I brought out my wedding dresses (Daryl and I get married anew every year around our anniversary in a new way with a new theme, so I have a few!) and I let the girls try them on.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>Jack wore a button-down shirt and looked very handsome.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>Even Alex got into the action, in a velvet jacket.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>And Daddy wore a kilt.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>There was much music and much mayhem. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>Most balls don&#8217;t involve that much hooting or spinning, I&#8217;m pretty sure.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>And definitely not that much falling down.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>But still in all, it was a wonderful ball.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#800080;\"><strong>We should have them more often!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4129\/5190944233_6a5b6d1a2e.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The other night, Annalee announced that she would be holding a ball the next day.
