Happy Monday!\u00a0 It’s the start of a whole new week and lots more chances to make some magic with our kiddos.\u00a0 Here’s a few ideas for how to do it…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Take part in the Shoot-Along Challenge<\/a> at Giver’s Log.\u00a0 Take a picture at your house at the exact same time each day for a week and capture the real essence of your days together.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Find a really old cookbook and make a meal fit for an old fashioned family (the menu below is from an old train dining car!).\u00a0 Some of the intriguing recipes we’ve found include Porridge, Lone Ranger Sandwiches, Creamed Chicken in Potato Nests and Jumbo Prunes with Cream.\u00a0 Some sounded more tempting than others!

<\/strong><\/span>3.\u00a0 Get out the good china and have a fabulous, fancy meal.\u00a0 Even mac and cheese and a salad is fabulous and fancy on good china!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Print out some positive printables<\/a>.\u00a0 There’s lunch box cards, you are loved cards, posters and more.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Hide Easter eggs all over the\u00a0 house with random little notes, trinkets and prizes in them.\u00a0 Don’t tell anybody — just wait for them to be discovered.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 Make crab-apple cider<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 Secretly write letters to three of your child’s favorite stars (singers, actors, whatever) and ask for autographed photos.\u00a0 Hopefully at least one will write back!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 Get inspired by A Dress a Day<\/a> and remake some tacky old dresses into something funky and fabulous. <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

9.\u00a0 Make homemade puffy paint<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

10. <\/span><\/span>Eat lunch or supper with all sorts of weird props– eat off lids and frisbees, use ladles and tongs to eat with, serve soup from a tea pot, drink from clean ketchup containers…\u00a0 Get creative!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
