Happy Monday!\u00a0 Life can be pretty hectic this time of year.\u00a0 Here’s a few ways to slow down and make some memories together along the way.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/em>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Spend a dollar on a pack of rocket balloons and go fly them in a wide open space.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Tape yourselves dancing and being silly to favorite songs and then watch them on the TV or computer.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Make avocado pit pendants<\/a> and carvings.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Have a sack race.\u00a0 Pillow cases work well.\u00a0 Everybody hop to the finish line.\u00a0 Older kids and grown ups can hop backwards.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Make tissue paper bowls<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 Go on a quest for a really fabulous climbing tree (big old trees with at least one big horizontal branch are perfect) and then climb it and play on it together.\u00a0 If you like, have a snack in it too!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

7.\u00a0 Go on a joking spree!\u00a0 Write out corny jokes on small pieces of paper and leave them for folks to find– on counters, in bathroom stalls, you name it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

8.\u00a0 Do some rolling pin painting<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

9.\u00a0 Make mud pies.\u00a0 Put out some special tools if you can.\u00a0 We pick up little metal tart pans, ice cream scoops and other items for pennies at thrift stores and they really add to the fun.<\/span>

10. Make a vision board for the new school year together.\u00a0 Gather up a bunch of old magazines, sheets of posterboard and scissors and glue.\u00a0 Have your children cut out words and pictures that represent things they want for the new year, then glue them onto the board.\u00a0 Encourage them to be optimistic and to dream big!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
