I love this craft!!!! You can make these adorable sheep from wool yarn, and even shear them!
You can make a whole little flock for the kids to play with. You can even make them out of recycled bags.
Head on over to dad can do for all the instructions and printable patterns.
Happy Thursday!
How cute!!! We are going to do a farm theme this fall, as my sons had a few questions about life on a farm, so this will be perfect to set out as a craft for them to choose.
Thank you for sharing! I will track back to you when we do this.
Love your blog…lots of inspiring ideas.
Have a nice day today and hope that you will pop by my blog sometime to say hi.
Colleen:)
Okay, I couldn’t download this for free, it kept wanting me to sign for a paid membership – am I missing something? These are sooooooo cute, and they look pretty easy – I’d love to make them with my special needs group!
Thanks 🙂
Oh boo! They tricked me calling it a free download! If you look on the right side, you can see the directions for how to make the pom poms (standard directions with a cardboard circle and yarn). To avoid paying for the download, you’ll have to make your own little faces and legs with black cardstock (or use cardboard and paint/color it black) and stick some little eyes and such on. I think it’s still pretty easy to reverse engineer and figure out though.
I’ll try it with my kiddos and post my instructions. It may take a bit though. We’re a bit frantic with plans at the moment. 🙂
I was wondering if the legs could not be done with a black craft foam “sandwich” and perhaps a thin piece of wood like a skewer or a coffee stir stick in between. When I look at the picture, it looks like two layers. The face also seems doubled.
