We’re back from our road trip to Florida.
It’s a bit of culture shock to be back in snowy Minnesota.
I had kind of hoped it would have magically turned a little spring-like while we were gone, but no such luck!
Lucky for us, we got so much sand, sun and smiles that it should carry us through for a long time.
Here’s a few pics…
And a few more…
I’ll be back tomorrow with something fun to share.
For now, I’m still very very tired (something about the combination of first trimester and four children!) and have a date with a nice soft bed.Β π
Welcome home! I’m glad we had some nice weather for you while you were here! Looking forward to your next posts. Take good care.
Thanks Daisy! And yes, the weather was absolutely perfect!
Yay! I missed your posts! How did you do the lovely picture-blocks?
Thanks Yvonne! I use Picasa for photo editing and you can do collages with it. It works really well and it’s free too. π
So glad your back!!!! We’ve really missed following your blog and trying out your lovely ideas.
Hope the tiredness passes soon
Thank you, Kate! π
Welcome back! The weather looks amazing there…it’s cold here in Sioux Falls. I am also in my 1st trimester and very tired..only 2kids to chase though so kudos to you!
Thanks Tera! Congrats on your pregnancy too and I hope you get lots of extra naps. π
Welcome back! Looks like you had an amazing wonderful magical time. What a shock to come back to MN. π Enjoy your nice warm bed…looking forward to seeing more fun. π
It looks like you’ve had an absolutely magical time. Hope you’re feeling good and can’t wait for your next magic-making post π
Hi and welcome back! You trip looked lovely!
So, I need to gush about how much I love your blog/website. A few weeks ago I set about to find a book or website about giving children a “magical childhood”. Alas, a little googling and here you are! I love, love, love your attitude toward parenting and feel very supported reading your words. I could go on and on but suffice it to say, thank you for this blog!
Next: I have been wondering 2 things:
1. what kind of camera do you use?
and….
2. do you print albums from the digital pix you take?
Thanks again!
π
p.s. I’m 40 and trying to conceive our 2nd. Your story is very inspiring!
Thanks Elizabeth! My camera is a Canon Powershot. I’m not sure which model it is (all I know is that it’s red!) and I sometimes print pics but mostly keep them online. I use Picasa for photo editing (it’s free) and I sometimes click “I’m feeling lucky” on that to correct colors/shadows/etc. or do color saturation or glow. They all give lovely effects with just about any camera! Of course, FL was so bright and beautiful that I didn’t need to do much of that. π
Good luck TTC! It may sound silly, but I kind of suspect that my switch to daily green smoothies had something to do with our happy accident. I wrote about it here soon after I started: http://www.examiner.com/green-culture-in-mankato/review-green-for-life-made-me-a-green-smoothie-zealot-review and the green smoothies really seem to have made a dramatic difference in my health. Between having an alkalizing effect on the body (I’ve read that acidic conditions in the body can interfere with conception), producing anti-aging effects, increasing nutrients like iron and folate, and increasing overall health, they seem to stack things more in our favor. I thought I’d mention it, just in case!
Your collage pictures are fantastic! Hope you get some REST and RELAXATION after such a wonderful trip. Maybe I’ll sneak in a green smoothie or two this week… heheheheheh…
Thanks so much for the camera AND smoothie recommendation. Very interesting stuff! We’re vegetarian and so we eat a lot of kale, spinach and broccoli. But I’ve never thought of making a smoothie from these. Hm. I will definitely give it a try! Thank you again for sending this review — every bit helps!

Lovely to have you back! I have missed your positive and vibrant posts appearing in my Google Reader!
