Yes, assignments! Bet you didn’t know there would be homework when you wandered in! 🙂
Please do at least one of the following:
- Get down on the floor to play.
- Build something, paint something or otherwise create something.
- Give your child at least 10 hugs and/or kisses.
- Do something nice for somebody else’s child.
- Do something nice for you.
- Laugh like a fool.
- Frame some of your child’s art and display it where it will make you smile.
- Just sit and talk with your child.
- Make silly faces at your kids and then play innocent when they look.
- Leave a comment with an assignment of your own.
Extra credit if you do more than one! Do not do all ten. No perfectionism allowed. 🙂
The first 3 are a daily thing, so I’m done already! I was thinking I should pick another and it should be number ten. Sing. On the toilet, whilst cooking, ironing or pegging out the washing. Alone, with an audience or together. Singing makes everyone happy 🙂
I think number ONE is so often over looked in our world… so I love that one… playing with kiddos at their level is the one easy and FUN homework assignment. AND number 7 has been on my to-do list for weeks now. I better get to it. THANKS for your magical moments joy. xoxoxoxo
Hurrah! assignments completed (and how!) shall add: let the kids get creative in the kitchen (with supervision) be sure to eat whatever they produce 🙂
#10 Look at the world in variety of different colors (color-boxes, cellophane, etc.). *For extra credit, talk to each other about the color of the sky at different times throughout the day.
# 4 was my favorite today. Giggling, making funny faces at, and otherwise egging on the toddler in front of you at the grocery while his parents work on unloading and paying is a wonderful task. Especially if he is turning the check-out lane display into a make-shift fort.
🙂
Walk to the Library…
this is what my day is made of
exercise, replacing the weights with the child.
Ask them lots and lots of why questions.
Have a dance party – just the two, five or fifteen of you. We crank up various kinds of music from Rush to hip hop and shake our booties, wriggle on the floor, go-go dance on the coffee table and boogie till bedtime. It’s so freeing!
