Have you seen this colorful science experiment yet? Two of my friends have recommended it now and I can’t wait to do it with my kiddos. Fun! 🙂

I love this! Thanks for sharing the video. My kids will go nuts!
Oh we are so doing this today! ;D
Thanks for posting this! I ran out to do this with the kids as soon as I saw this. How fun! We took it a tiny bit further and after the milk was nice and swirled, placed little pieces of paper (the size of artist trading cards) on top of the milk for a second, then lifted them off to reveal lightly marbled paper. After they dry the kids can decorate the cards and send them to their friends.
I did this with my 3 young kids and they LOVED it
Alicia, what site is this from?
Rebecca, I got it from You-tube after others recommended it. It’s from this You-tube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/HouseholdHacker
Just FYI– I’m not sure if all of it is family-friendly, since I’m not familiar with the actual user/site that posted it.
Incidentally, I’m wondering if this would work best with fuller fat milk since the fat molecules are a part of the reaction. I’m considering doing it two ways with my kids to see if it makes a difference. 🙂
I love this we used to die coffee filters. We made speical paper for something fun for next week.
My kids and I did this today and it was pretty cool! we used non homogized milk with lots of fatty bits in it. It didn’t look quite as cool as the video. Carter wants us to upload our to youtube too…so maybe stay tuned for that 😉
